Homelessness

If you have nowhere to live, or if you are likely to become homeless, Leeds City Council's Homelessness Advice and Prevention team can help you.

They can provide advice and help if you are homeless or are likely to become homeless. They may also be able to help you with temporary accommodation if you have nowhere to live.

They can:

  • help prevent you from becoming homeless;
  • find out whether we have a duty to provide you with a home;
  • help you find a new home;
  • help to prevent you losing your home;
  • help you to keep any housing you do find.

They provide general housing information and advice to tenants and landlords in the private sector on housing related matters such as tenancies, welfare benefits, rent, repairs etc. They can also provide help and advice if you are a private tenant who may be a victim of harassment, illegal eviction or if you are experiencing trouble with your landlord.
