Leeds Homes are launching this new service to make bidding easier and to improve our services to customers.
You can bid for up to three homes per week by texting 'cbl#' followed by your:
* Application number, followed by #
* Date of Birth, followed by # (In full, e.g. 03081962)
* First property reference number, followed by #
* Second property reference number, followed by #
* Third property reference number, followed by #

You will receive a text message back within two hours, confirming your bid has been received.
If you send the wrong details you will receive a text message telling you your bid hasn't been processed, and your details will need to be sent again. If you send the details in the wrong format you will be informed about this by text message. You will also be advised if you send a text after the deadline has expired.
The deadline for bidding by text is 1 pm each Tuesday (except certain bank holiday periods).

Will I get confirmation that my text has been received?
Yes, a text will be sent back to your mobile phone acknowledging receipt and confirming that the details sent are correct and will be processed. If the details are incorrect a text will be sent to you requesting you to resubmit your bids.
How long will it be before I get confirmation?
This will depend on your network, please allow up to 2 hours for a response. If you haven't received a receipt please call on 0113 247 6313.
Do I need to ring to confirm that you got my text?
No, you should only ring if you do not receive an acknowledgement within 2 hours.
I have sent you a text and have been waiting over an hour and have not received a confirmation receipt.
You should allow up to 2 hours for a response as networks vary on this. I can place your bids for you for now but please bear this in mind for the future that I have asked you to wait 2 hours before calling.
What hapends if there is a delay on the my text coming through and I miss the deadline?
The cut off time for text bids is 1 pm on the Tuesday, if you feel your text will miss this deadline, then please telephone your bids on 0113 247 6313.
Does this mean I can have 6 bids in the next cycle?
No, you will only be entitled to 3 bids per advertising cycle.
Will I receive a text to be offered a property via my mobile phone?
No, all offers are made in writing. You may receive a phone call prior to written confirmation being sent.
How much will this text cost me?
Standard network charges will apply.
How do I know if my bid has definitely gone on?
You will receive an acknowledgement receipt informing you that your bid has been received and will be processed.
What guarantees do you propose to put in place that all bids received via mobile phones are registered?
Texts received within the specified time period will be processed. If you miss the cut off you will be notified that your bid will be not be processed.
Will I receive a text about the bids I have placed in the current cycle and whether or not I have been successful?
No, you will need to look at the feedback table in the magazine or on the website.
What do I do if I have attempted to text in my bids and have just recieved a message saying that my details are not registered?
There may be a fault. If this occurs please telephone 0113 247 6313 to receive confirmation you are registered. If there is a fault your bids will be processed via the telephone.
